Confessions of a Female Gamer, Thea Films
About me
Dolya is an award-winning filmmaker and actor whose work spans stage and screen - from the West End through to feature films, documentaries, TV, radio plays, podcasts and video games. Her first multi-awarded feature documentary as sole directer, 'Women's Day' (premiered Moscow International Film Festival 2019) has been distributed internationally across theatrically and on TV. She also wrote, narrated and produced the film. Previously, she co-directed, produced and wrote the feature documentary 'Golos: Ukrainian Voices' (Best Documentary Film - London Independent Film Festival 2016); co-curated the critically-acclaimed exhibition in London 'Superwomen: Work, Build & Don’t Whine' (Top Cultural Event - The Guardian newspaper), the highlight of which was her short film trilogy. Further producing credits include '18% Grey' (2020) by Viktor Chouchkov, which she also co-wrote. Brought up in several countries, Dolya studied acting in Moscow and London, and is a graduate of Cambridge University. She also gained a PhD in theatre and wrote drama for BBC Radio.
