Alexander von Harling graduated in political science, journalism and philosophy in Göttingen and holds a degree from German School of Journalism in Munich. He worked for newspapers, radio and television stations, and since 1998 as author and editor for Südwestrundfunk (SWR) in different positions, last Head of Programmes of the ARD digital channel EinsPlus. Since december 2016, Alexander von Harling is Head of Specialist Factual at ARTE G.E.I.E. in Strasbourg.
