Andreas Orth has directed over sixty TV documentaries to date. He focuses on current affairs, particularly security policy, history and environmental issues. Most recently broadcast were “The Armaments Boom: Bombs, Tanks and Problems” (2023) and “Attention Dream Ships” (2022). So far, he has mainly worked for the German networks ARD,ZDF and arte. He was awarded the Ernst Schneider Prize, greenscreen and the New York TV Festival. He has a diploma in visual communication from the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg.
