Chris Hastings is the executive producer and editorial manager for WORLD Channel, based at GBH in Boston. At GBH, Hastings has worked with the children’s television program ZOOM and the GBH Lab, an innovative incubator for up-and-coming filmmakers. Hastings joined WORLD Channel in 2011, where he co-created the award-winning documentary series America ReFramed; Local, USA; and Doc World, and provided editorial oversight to the other original series on WORLD Channel. Series in Hastings’ portfolio have won many honors, including a Peabody Award, Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award and a News and Documentary Emmy Awardd. In 2016, Hastings became a Rockwood JustFilms Fellow and was awarded GBH’s Margaret and Hans Rey Curious George in-house producer fellowship.
